State-of-the-art Deep Neural Networks (DNNs) are promoting medical image processing. However, DNNs are susceptible to adversarial attacks, which could significantly deteriorate model performances and pose a threat to clinical diagnoses. One common method for prevention is through adversarial training, which is highly dependent on harnessing adversarial examples during the training stage. However, adversarial medical examples generated by many existing works are too perceptible to be adversarial examples. To improve the imperceptibility, we proposed a Regional Saliency Map Attack that generates an adversarial example by only perturbing a small number of pixels. Extensive experiments have shown that, on average, our method caused the same degradation in model performance by quantitatively less perceptible perturbations. Visualisations have also verified that the improvement in imperceptibility in an image is both global and regional.

Aerial cinematography is becoming increasingly important to today’s news and movie industries. This talk introduces everyone to aerial cinematography. It begins with introducing the brief history of aerial cinematography and drone history, demonstrating the strong correlation between cutting-edge technology and available camera languages. It then introduces the structure and components of today’s typical commercial drones. Next, the talk introduces related laws, regulations, and safety instructions. The talk then covers three main topics: aerial photography, fundamentals of aerial cinematography, and techniques and tricks. The talk also covers future trends in aerial cinematography. Finally, the talk discusses people’s attitudes towards drones, advocating a dialectical and open perspective towards promising technology.

Scaling relations widely exist in complex systems. Kleiber’s law described an empirical $\frac{3}{4}$ factor of metabolic scaling. The WBE theory then verified a series of biological scaling relations, including the Kleiber’s law. In 2007, Bettencourt et al. discovered that similar scaling relations also widely exist in cities, while Bettencourt alone then gave a more general scaling model for urban regions of varying structures.
